Who we are

SquareCount is published by JUAN LUIS RTO SL, a company registered in Spain ("we", "us"). You can reach us at juanluis@juanluis.me.

Accepting these terms

By downloading or using SquareCount, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs apps from the App Store. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to your licence to use the app, and these terms add to it. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Using SquareCount

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use SquareCount on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

SquareCount is a tool for counting things you choose to track. It isn't medical, fitness or financial advice. If you use it to track exercise, health habits or money, decisions about those are yours; talk to a professional where it matters.

Your data

What you log belongs to you. It's stored on your device, and we don't receive it. The privacy policy explains exactly what the app stores and how to delete it.

You're responsible for keeping your own copy if it matters to you, for example with the CSV export or the Google Sheets backup. Deleting the app deletes the data stored on that device.

Google Sheets backup

The optional backup connects to your Google account. Your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service. The backup spreadsheet lives in your Google Drive, under your control. If you edit or delete it, or revoke SquareCount's access, the app can't restore from it. Google may change or limit its services, which may affect the backup; we'll do our best to keep it working but can't guarantee it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep SquareCount reliable, but we can't promise it will always be free of errors or available on every device or iOS version. We may update the app to fix problems, add features or keep up with iOS. Updates are optional through the App Store, though older versions may stop working with future iOS releases.

Liability

SquareCount is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losing data that you didn't back up, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it.

None of this limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change significantly affects your rights, we'll point it out before it takes effect. If you keep using SquareCount after that, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. If something goes wrong, please email us first; most problems can be fixed quickly.
